John C. Fisher III, MD, MBA is an orthopedic surgeon based in Athens and serving patients across Henderson, Anderson, Cherokee, Navarro, Van Zandt, Freestone, and Smith counties. His practice focuses on shoulder care, sports medicine, arthroscopy, and individualized treatment for active patients.
Raised in East Texas, Dr. Fisher is proud to care for patients in Athens, Tyler, and the surrounding communities. His approach is practical, personal, and built around helping patients understand what is wrong, what their options are, and how to move forward with confidence.
Before becoming a surgeon, Dr. Fisher worked as an electrician in Austin. That hands-on background continues to shape the way he approaches orthopedic problems: understand the mechanics, identify the source, and build a treatment plan that works in real life.
